Tamara’s Bio
Tamara Cameron has been making art as long as she can remember. Her grandmother was a painter and she grew up surrounded by original art. When she would watch her paint, Tamara learned that making art was a normal part of everyday life – something anyone can do.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Design in communication design and education from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design, Tamara worked for a number of years as a graphic designer. One day, looking for something creative to do while being a stay-at-home mom, she took her first clay class. It was love at first sight.
Having grown-up on the ocean in Nova Scotia, she has also lived in Montreal and Toronto. Tamara now lives in Colchester, Vermont, where she has been teaching at the Living & Learning Pottery Co-op at the University of Vermont for the past eight years.
